Archaeological site of Grotta is located below Metropolis Square, the excavations revealed a section of the Mycenaean capital of Naxos (1300 BC at the northern side of the harbor, the ruins of a Mycenaean settlement at the site of "Grotta", are at the north part of the city of Naxos.  Worth’s visiting!  The general area has been ‘constructed’ by the archaeologists to be  open to  public.
